RJTI holds space for conversations, provides presentations, trainings, consulting and support as schools, school districts and organizations to learn about, investigate, adopt and implement Restorative Justice in Education and Peacemaking Circles. We are especially interested in working collaboratively to honor and respect the power of youth, normalize the need to attend to staff relations and attend to the well-being of all people in an organization. Creating, affirming, building and strengthening community is the basis of and for our work. If the culture in your school or organization is not optimal for safety, belonging, and growth, we understand that to change our culture, we need to change ourselves. And Peacemaking Circles make the space for change to happen. We are interested in building safe spaces and peace. And we want to attend to the places where differences and varying needs may initiate conflict so we can be a part of attending to the conflict and thus strengthening our relationships. We are excited about working with you to understand what you and your organization need. Call us at 510-206-0995 or email us at ritar.alfred@gmail.com

Given the Covid-19 challenge at this present time, we have been thinking about and wondering if we could actually do Peacemaking Circles online. We are offering an online version of community building and repairing relationships, while noting and missing that face to face, skin to skin transforming experience. We have held to the indigenous understanding that we learn in relationship and by experience. However, we are anxious for people to learn about what it means to be community especially now when the tensions and stresses are high; and the need for belonging is greater. We know that when we, as the adults, are not in good enough shape then the youth will find it even harder to learn and families will find it even more challenging to assist with their children’s education.

If you have a group of 5 or more, we can present the material live on Zoom. Contact us for more information.
